Job summary

EPAM Systems in Doha, Qatar seeks an AI Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer (Java) to join onsite. You will drive AI-enabled delivery by implementing SDD templates, building agentic AI use cases, and delivering production-grade integrations in Java/Spring Boot.

You will collaborate with architects and global teams, ensure observability and secure rollouts, and contribute to KPI tracking for adoption and quality. Exponential learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices.
• 1–2+ years of experience in LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, or agentic systems.
• Experience with Azure services (AKS, Web Apps) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Understanding of Spec-Driven Development concepts and governance practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI architectures, ensuring pragmatic integration of RAG, agents, and automation into microservices and enterprise platforms.
• Implement and embed Spec-Driven Development (SDD) templates and governance into delivery workflows.
• Build and maintain agentic AI use cases and implement guardrails for responsible AI adoption.
• Deliver production-grade AI integrations, including LLMs, retrieval, and embeddings within Java/Spring Boot services.
• Ensure observability, version management, and CI/CD readiness for prompts, models, and specs.
• Deploy and operate solutions on AKS and Azure environments with best practices for stability and security.
• Assist with KPI tracking related to AI-enabled delivery for adoption, quality, and risk management.

We're looking for an AI Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer (Java) to join our team in Doha, Qatar, in an on-site working mode. This role focuses on enabling AI-assisted delivery by implementing cutting-edge solutions, driving adoption of Spec-Driven Development (SDD), and integrating agentic AI capabilities in collaboration with architects and engineering leaders. Your work will have a direct impact on accelerating software engineering productivity, ensuring reliability, and embedding responsible AI practices into enterprise-grade systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, databases (preferably Oracle/PLSQL), Kafka, and Git-based workflows
• 1–2+ years of experience in LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, or agentic systems in production or enterprise pilots
• Understanding of Spec-Driven Development concepts and governance practices
• Experience with Azure services (AKS, Web Apps) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
• Familiarity with LLM providers, prompt engineering, and techniques for evaluation and testing
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams

Nice to have

• Experience with React for UI layer integration
• Practical experience applying SDD in enterprise-level projects
• Knowledge of implementing observability in AI pipelines and secure rollouts
