Job summary

A leading infrastructure firm in Qatar seeks an experienced Accountant specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M). You will manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting and analysis for road infrastructure projects. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3-5 years of relevant experience are required. Proficiency in QuickBooks and SAP, along with excellent analytical skills, are essential. This is a full-time position that does not allow remote work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with project-based accounting and financial reporting.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha. This role you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our road infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate reporting and providing valuable insights to support decision‑making processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations related to road O&M projects including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports and budgets specific to road infrastructure projects
  • Develop and maintain project‑based accounting systems to track costs and revenues effectively
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of road O&M activities
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long‑term financial forecasts for road O&M projects
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations
  • Participate in internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management highlighting key performance indicators and trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of accounting experience preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with project‑based accounting and financial reporting
