Job summary

IIQAF Group in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Accountant to support financial operations within our hospitality business. The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, process accounting transactions, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliations, prepare financial reports, monitor expenses, and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GL accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records per policies.
• Record daily transactions, journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Coordinate with purchasing, procurement, stores, FO, F&B, sales, payroll, and operations.
• Verify POs, goods received notes, invoices, and supplier statements.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and cost control.
• Support payroll accounting and employee expense processing as needed.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide docs to auditors.
• Maintain organized accounting files (digital and physical).
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
• Support process improvements and internal controls.

Job Summary

IIQAF Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support financial and accounting operations within our hospitality business in Doha, Qatar. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing bank reconciliations, preparing financial reports, monitoring expenses, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Record daily financial transactions, journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Coordinate with purchasing, procurement, stores, front office, food and beverage, sales, payroll, and operations teams.
• Verify purchase orders, goods received notes, invoices, and supplier statements.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, food and beverage cost control, and expense monitoring.
• Support payroll accounting and employee expense processing when required.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide accounting documents and supporting schedules to auditors.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, reporting, and financial controls.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Accountant, General Accountant, Hotel Accountant, Hospitality Accountant, Staff Accountant, Accounts Officer, or similar position.
• Experience in the hotel, resort, restaurant, catering, food and beverage, or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
• Ability to meet accounting deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or public holidays when required by hospitality operations.
