Job summary

Unit8 SA is offering a 6-month paid professional experience in Data and Software Engineering in Wrocław, Poland. You will work with Data & AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Cloud Engineers, gaining client exposure and hands-on practice across AI services and cloud infrastructure.

You will learn through mentoring, reading groups, and knowledge-sharing sessions, with flexible hours including some home office. Start date Feb 1 and 32h/week commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated or finishing MSc or BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiar with version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts.
• Willing to work at least 32 hours per week and start Feb 1.
• Interest in Data and Software Engineering and learning.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Data & AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Cloud Engineers to design and implement industry use cases.
• Develop, deploy, and automate AI services and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in software development lifecycle phases: planning, implementation, deployment, testing, maintenance.
• Collaborate directly with clients to discuss challenges and needs.
• Contribute to internal projects like open-source tools such as Darts.

What You’ll Do

Unit8 is welcoming young talents for the opportunity to grow in Data and Software Engineering. Join us for a 6-month paid professional experience in building industrial Data and AI solutions. You can start asap, with direct exposure to clients’ needs and opportunities to participate in learning activities such as Reading Groups and Knowledge Sharing Sessions. In addition, each young talent will be accompanied by a dedicated wingmate/mentor who will guide and help them build their technical growth vision.

As a young talent, you will join a team of Data & AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Cloud Engineers who work hand-in-hand with our customers on designing and implementing their industry-specific use cases. You will be directly involved in discussing the client’s challenges and needs and will have chances to develop your client-facing skills. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and automating our AI services and cloud infrastructure. You will also learn to carefully analyze a given problem and apply the relevant tools and techniques to solve it.

In general you will:

• use software best practices in continuous integration and delivery, versioning and automation;
• use your skills to build and maintain service and data infrastructure;
• participate as junior engineer in all phases of the software development life cycle - planning, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance;

Are You the team member we are looking for?

In order to be successful in this role, you are/have:

• motivated and eager to learn different aspects of engineering
• comfortable interacting with technical and business people
• strong communication and presentation skills
• recently graduated/finishing your MSc or BSc in Computer Science or related major;
• familiar with version control and collaboration tooling (git)
• familiar with CI/CD frameworks and automated deployment concepts (i.e Docker, K8s)
• fluent in English
• available for a minimum of 32h a week.
• ready to start on the 1st of February
