Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future Poland is seeking a Windows Administrator for a fully remote role. You will work in shifts (morning/afternoon) and participate in on-call rotation, administering Windows Server environments and providing L2/L3 support.

You will handle patch management, automation tasks, and infrastructure monitoring, collaborating with teams using ServiceNow, Terraform, Ansible, and VMware. Cloud knowledge (Azure/GCP) and GPO/IIS experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows Server administration experience.
• Hands-on with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022; exposure to 2025 a plus.
• Experience with ServiceNow and monitoring tooling is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025).
• Provide L2/L3 operational support, incident resolution, and change management.
• Support patch governance using WSUS and automation tooling; address vulnerabilities.
• Monitor systems with ScienceLogic; perform root cause analysis as needed.
• Implement infrastructure automation ( Terraform, Ansible ); documentation updates.

For our partner, an international organization, we are looking for a Windows Administrator.

Windows Administrator

Fully Remote

Work in shifts (morning/afternoon) and participate in on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025), including configuration, patching, and monitoring
• Perform day-to-day operational support (L2) including incident resolution, service requests, and problem analysis
• Support patch governance using WSUS and custom automation tooling; ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities
• Monitor systems using ScienceLogic and proactively address alerts and performance issues
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis where required
• Execute and maintain infrastructure automation tasks (Terraform, Ansible), with focus on understanding execution and outcomes
• Work with ServiceNow for incident, request, and change management
• Follow change control processes and ensure proper implementation, validation, and documentation of changes
• Support Microsoft SQL Server high availability setups (Failover Clustering) in cooperation with DBA teams; understanding of clustering concepts is required
• Implement and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) at a working level (understanding required; hands-on experience is a plus)
• Use PowerShell for administration and basic automation tasks (scripts, troubleshooting, command execution)
• Support and maintain IIS-based services where applicable (experience is a plus)
• Work with on‑premises infrastructure based on VMware vSphere
• Support hybrid cloud environments (Azure, GCP) in coordination with internal teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational and technical documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and work in shifts (morning/afternoon)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or similar role
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022; exposure to 2025 is a plus)
• Experience working in operational environments using ServiceNow
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring (ScienceLogic preferred but not mandatory)

Core technical skills

Basic to intermediate understanding of:

• GPO (understanding required; administration is a plus)
• Patch management (WSUS experience required; Azure Arc is a plus)
• PowerShell usage for administration (script execution, basic modifications, troubleshooting; not expected to be a developer)

Experience or familiarity with:

• Terraform / Ansible (execution‑level understanding is mandatory; development is a plus)
• IIS (nice to have)
• VMware vSphere

Cloud

Practical experience or working knowledge of:

• Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Certifications are a plus, but motivation to learn and grow in cloud technologies is expected

Other requirements

• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in an operational (L2/L3) support model
• Understanding of change management in controlled production environments
• Self-driven, proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
