Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Trustee & Depositary to join our team in Wroclaw. You will help manage monitoring programs across Custodians and Fund Managers, ensure regulatory compliance, and produce trustee reports for funds. The role involves improving operational efficiencies and coaching team members.

The ideal candidate has a business/legal degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with familiarity in Private Equity/Real Estate deposits and fund accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in maintaining a comprehensive monitoring program and conducting a wide range of administrative and monitoring activities across both Custodians and Fund Managers (including their delegates).
  • Ensure funds comply with regulatory and fund-specific documentation and produce Trustee reports for funds for each period and/or year-end.
  • Drive forward operational efficiencies and streamline safekeeping processes for AIFs to increase cost savings and output quality.
  • Assist in developing team members by training and coaching in related tasks.
  • Provide feedback on performance to the Manager against objectives and staff development plans.
  • Attend role-relevant courses when required.
  • Review and complete various administrative duties within the team.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.

Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Trustee & Depositary to join our team. This role is located in Wroclaw.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Assist management in maintaining a comprehensive monitoring program and conducting a wide range of administrative and monitoring activities across both Custodians and Fund Managers (including their delegates).
  • Ensure the funds comply with regulatory and fund-specific documentation. Produce Trustee reports for funds for each period and/or year-end.
  • Drive forward operational efficiencies and streamline Safekeeping process for AIFs to increase cost savings and quality/ quantity of output
  • Assist in the development of team members by training and developing in the associated tasks, using coaching skills where necessary.
  • Provide feedback on performance to the Manager against objectives, PMP’s and staff development plans.
  • Attend role relevant courses when required.
  • Review and complete various administrative duties within the team.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in business/legal related discipline; however, we welcome applications from all fields of study as we provide extensive training.
  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with Private Equity/Real Estate Depositary and/or Fund Accounting business is a must
  • Product knowledge: Private Equity/Real Estate/FOFs/Loans/OTC is a must
  • Familiarity with Accounting reports, such Statement of Investments (Portfolio Details), General Ledger, Trial Balance will be an advantage
  • High communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PC literacy and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues to the satisfaction of clients.
