Job summary

GlobalLogic Kraków is seeking a Vehicle SW Release Tester – Functional Testing to ensure the highest quality of complete vehicle software releases, covering apps, OTA, and overall functionality. You will join a team focused on automotive excellence and rigorous testing against complex integration scenarios.

The role requires hands-on manual testing, strong English, and collaboration with developers, QA, and systems engineers to validate fixes before market launch.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on testing experience in automotive domain.
• Experience with black box testing and manual QA processes.
• Familiar with vehicle-level testing and simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Test Case Design and Creation for vehicle systems and software.
• Manually execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests on in-vehicle software.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps and evidence.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and business analysts to verify fixes.
• Perform re-tests to confirm bug resolution and no new issues.

Due to intensive growth, GlobalLogic Automotive department is glad to invite Vehicle Test Engineer to an Automotive project.
The project aim is to optimize, extend with new features Automotive Solution. Our clients are Tier 1s and OEMs from Europe and USA and development is targeted to Automotive Solution what will be deployed in newest European cars.

The project is considered as technical excellence and we are paying huge attention to technical challenge motivation of our team members as well as excellence compensation. At our project we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture – key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive.We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for the Functional Testing of Complete Vehicle SW Release at Vehicle Level, covering Apps, OTA, Overall Functionality, integration and interoperability of customer functions. Your critical role will be to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and user satisfaction before they reach the market.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

• Valid Polish Driver’s License (Category B) with a strong, confident driving record.
• Black box testing experience in the automotive domain
• Manual QA and test execution background
• Vehicle simulation and vehicle-level testing practice
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing experience
• Embedded systems software background
• Defect tracking tools proficiency (Jira, Linear)

Job responsibilities

• Test Case Design and Creation: Develop, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications for vehicle systems.
• Test Execution: Manually execute various types of testing (functional, regression, exploratory) on in-vehicle software and systems, utilizing real test vehicles.
• Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately identify, document, and track bugs and defects in the bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA), providing clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, systems engineers, business analysts, and other teams to understand requirements, clarify defects, and verify fixes.
• Validation of Fixes: Perform re-tests and regression testing to confirm that reported bugs have been successfully resolved and that the fixes have not introduced new issues.
