Job summary

GlobalLogic Kraków is seeking an experienced Uniface Developer to maintain and enhance an established enterprise application within an Agile setting. You will join a distributed international team, contributing to evolution and improvements of the Uniface-based system, with strong focus on development, bug fixes, and long-term support.

The role requires 5+ years of Uniface experience, a Bachelor’s in CS/MIS, and solid knowledge of Uniface 9.x, 10.x, and C# with Oracle/SQL Server proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent.
• Uniface 9.x is must-have; Uniface 10.x is good to have; C# knowledge is required.
• Databases: Oracle/SQL Server knowledge is required.
• 5+ years of Uniface experience.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication with Product Owner and Scrum Master.

Responsibilities

• Be a core part of the Uniface Development team across the full software lifecycle from concept to testing.
• Hands-on development and delivery responsibility for the team.
• Maintain a high quality standard within agreed timelines.
• Lead requirement analysis and elaboration with team, Backlog Owners, and Product Owners.
• Groom stories and define scenarios; plan technically for timely delivery.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, production-grade code and document accordingly.
• Handle Level 3 production support and deliver bug fixes.
• Perform RCA for production issues and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and stakeholders; understand database concepts and SQL queries.

We are looking for an experienced Uniface Developer to join a project focused on the maintenance and continuous enhancement of an established enterprise application. The role involves a combination of development, enhancements, bug fixing, and ongoing application support within a collaborative Agile environment. You will work as part of a distributed international team, contributing to the evolution and improvement of an established Uniface-based application. This role is well suited to a developer with strong Uniface experience and an interest in working with enterprise systems and existing applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent professional experience
• Programming Languages: Uniface 9.x (Must Have), Uniface 10.x (Good to Have), C#
• Beneficial: Intermediate C# knowledge is helpful
• Databases: Oracle/SQL Server (intermediate knowledge is sufficient) – Must Have
• Experience: 5+ years in Uniface
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills. Able to work effectively with the Product Owner and Scrum Master
• Commitment to staying current and exploring emerging technologies
• Must be able to execute 100% of all specified and implied tasks within the agreed timeframe without management or supervision
• Should be able to work with US teams (Dev/QA teams and stakeholders) until 9:30 PM IST during daylight saving time and 10:30 PM IST after daylight saving time ends. The candidate can start the day later to avoid regularly working extra hours
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and Generative AI will be considered an added advantage

Job responsibilities

• Include being a core part of the Uniface Development team while providing expertise throughout the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Hands-on development and delivery responsibility for the team.
• Maintaining a high bar for quality within the agreed timelines.
• Requirement analysis and elaboration at feature and story level, along with the team, Backlog Owners, and Product Owners.
• Story grooming and analysis, scenario definition, etc.
• Technical planning and tracking for timely delivery and quality. Ensure delivery as per the agreed solution design/architecture and performance criteria.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, production-grade code as per the defined architecture and designs.
• Documentation as per the defined process and following the predefined methodology.
• Handle Level 3 production support and deliver bug fixes.
• RCA for production issues; propose and implement tactical and long‑term fixes.
• Experience and excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle using Agile.
• Experience with database concepts and SQL query writing.
