Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team in Warsaw, Poland. The role focuses on local pickups, deliveries between Zimmer Biomet locations, and support for production with timely transport of materials.

The ideal candidate holds a For Hire Endorsement or Commercial Driver License and a tow motor license, can lift heavy loads, and maintain safe, accurate records while adhering to DOT and company rules. Office is on-site with overtime availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have For Hire Endorsement or CDL and tow motor license.
• Experience with vehicle maintenance and daily logs is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver to Zimmer Biomet locations.
• Maintain and schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles.
• Load and unload items at stops throughout the day.
• Deliver items to production cells within Zimmer Biomet.
• Assist in other department areas such as Salvage, Receiving or Stockroom as needed.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and logs.
• Perform administrative duties such as vendor sales logs and inventory counts.

What You Can Expect

Drive Company truck/van to and from other locations for pickup and delivery. Communication with Main Campus and other company locations in the area needing services.

How You'll Create Impact

• Pick up and deliver to other area Zimmer Biomet locations.
• Maintain and schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles.
• Communicate with other Company customers that have special request.
• Loading and unloading truck at all stops throughout the day (truck driver).
• Deliver items to various production cells within Zimmer Biomet.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles (van driver).
• When not driving truck, this position assists in other areas of the department such as Salvage, Receiving or Stockroom.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management and complete a daily truck log
• Perform various paperwork duties such as sale to vendors, scrap log sheets, lot traceability cards, inventory counts, and other miscellaneous duties.
• Depending on workload, must be willing to assist in production of product as needed.

• Must be able to work with extensive shifting of priorities and or deadlines.
• Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision and communicate effectively with other team members, team leader, and supervision
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds or more on a non-routine basis, and transport metal bar stock on carts weighing up to 3000 lbs.
• Safely operate material handling equipment i.e. forklift, electric pallet jacks, electric carts, etc.
• Must be able to do frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and heavy lifting.
• Must be able to use the JD Edwards computer system.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
• Must have a very good attendance record.
• Operate shrink wrap machine.
• Customer oriented.
• Clean driving record
• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules

Your Background
