Job summary

Valeo in Czechowice-Dziedzice, Poland, seeks a Validation Lead to steer a team of about eight engineers in LV product testing and test strategy development.

You will create and manage the Design Validation Plan (DVP), oversee validation costs and schedules, and ensure data analysis, MSA, and reporting meet customer and company standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Engineer's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years in testing/validation, automotive sector preferred.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a validation team of ~8 people and define the test strategy for LV products.

At the Valeo plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice, we manufacture powertrain systems that support fuel consumption reduction and lower emissions-including starters, air throttles, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, electromechanical actuators, and innovative electric drives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team & Strategy Leadership: Lead a validation team (~8 people) and define the test strategy for LV products (hydraulic smart actuators) based on customer and company standards.
• Validation Planning: Create and manage the Design Validation Plan (DVP), and estimate validation costs and schedules in cooperation with the project team.
• Testing Execution: Oversee the preparation and execution of validation tests, data analysis, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and official test reports.
• Equipment Management: Develop, validate, and maintain laboratory test equipment to ensure compliance with technical requirements and safety regulations.
• Problem Solving: Drive technical problem-solving for both the tested products and laboratory equipment.
• Project Support: Collaborate with international project teams, supporting them with risk analysis, compatibility matrices, and continuous improvement processes.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Master’s or Engineer's degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or similar) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in testing/validation (automotive sector preferred).
• Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of Electro-Mechanical and Hydraulic principles, measurement electronics, and sensors (pressure, force, displacement).
• Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) and proficiency in PC applications used for data analysis.
• Leadership & Organization: Strong self-management skills, ability to lead a team, and a proactive approach to managing laboratory priorities.
• Soft Skills: Highly communicative, creative, and supportive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Languages: Proficiency in both English and Polish (written and verbal) is required to work effectively in an international environment.
