Job Overview
We are looking for a Test Environment Manager responsible for coordinating and maintaining all non-production environments across IT projects. This role manages the lifecycle of test environments, ensures their stability, and acts as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including business end-users. The position requires strong coordination skills, a technical mindset, and the ability to work in both agile and traditional project frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Planning & Design
- Define and plan non-production environments such as Development, Test, UAT, and Pre-Production.
- Align environment setup with infrastructure, security, and architectural requirements.
Environment Provisioning & Configuration
- Coordinate installation and configuration of required software components.
- Ensure consistent versioning and proper integration with external interfaces.

Release & Deployment Coordination
- Plan and synchronize deployments across multiple workstreams.
- Document deployment processes and maintain rollback procedures for issue resolution.
Test Data Management
- Manage the preparation and refresh of test data.
- Ensure data consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
Access & Permission Control
- Define user roles and access levels across environments.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance guidelines.
Monitoring & Environment Stability
- Monitor performance and availability of test environments.
- Coordinate issue resolution and ensure stable testing conditions.
Communication & Cross-Team Coordination
- Act as a link between project teams, infrastructure groups, and substreams.
- Provide regular updates, highlight risks, and coordinate dependencies.
- Temporarily take over related tasks when needed during resource gaps.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field,
- or equivalent vocational training with at least five years of professional experience.
Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in environment management.
- Background in projects using both agile and traditional methodologies.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of technical infrastructure and environment architecture.
- Knowledge of release and deployment processes.
- Experience in data management and compliance requirements.
Tools & Applications
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, and IT Service Management platforms.
Languages
- Fluent English is required.
- Spanish is an advantage.
