Job summary

FERCHAU Engineering GmbH in Poland is seeking a Telecommunication Systems Designer - FAS/Security to design fire alarm, CCTV, access control and gas detection systems for complex investment projects across Poland.

You will prepare conceptual to as-built documents, select equipment, coordinate with other disciplines and supervise junior designers to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in designing telecommunication and security systems.
• Experience with FAS, CCTV, ACS, VAS or gas detection systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• English at least B1; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design telecommunication and low-current systems including FAS, CCTV, ACS, VAS, IDS.
• Prepare conceptual, building permit, detailed design, and as-built docs.
• Select suitable solutions and equipment per project needs.
• Coordinate designs with other engineers.
• Participate in meetings with investors, fire safety consultants and contractors.
• Provide supervision for junior designers and support execution.

Telecommunication Systems Designer - FAS/Security (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Designing telecommunication and low-current systems, particularly Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Voice Alarm Systems (VAS), CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and gas detection systems
• Preparing conceptual, building permit, detailed design, and as-built documentation
• Selecting technical solutions and equipment tailored to project requirements
• Coordinating design solutions with other engineering disciplines
• Participating in technical meetings and design reviews with investors, fire safety consultants, and contractors
• Supporting the design team and coordinating the work of junior designers
• Providing author's supervision during project execution

Your profile

• Higher technical education (Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field)
• Experience in designing telecommunication and security systems
• Experience in designing FAS, CCTV, ACS, VAS, or gas detection systems
• Knowledge of the design process and preparation of technical documentation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Communicative English skills (minimum B1 level)
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively within a team

Nice to have:

• Experience with industrial, petrochemical, or energy-sector projects
• Experience related to fire suppression and fire protection systems
• Building design licenses in the field of telecommunications installations and networks
• Knowledge of industry software such as Revit, SEE Electrical, or similar tools
• Certifications and training related to fire alarm systems, CNBOP, TECHOM, or security systems
