Position Overview
Technical Product Owner – Digital Health Platform, Secure Cloud – Roche Digital Technology (RDT). The role is based in Warsaw or Poznan, Poland. The team operates a hybrid work model with an average of two office days per week, depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Own, prioritise, and communicate the product roadmap and backlog for the Secure Account Management (SAM) team’s cloud landing zone and associated services.
- Represent platform customers (internal product teams and external partners) in PI planning sessions, gather feedback, and maintain transparency on request lifecycle and prioritization decisions.
- Drive platform evolution toward self‑service and automation, reducing manual ticket‑based workflows in favour of infrastructure‑as‑code and API‑first interfaces.
- Own the developer experience and documentation lifecycle, ensuring that services are user‑centric, documented accurately, and that documentation ships alongside features.
- Define and communicate change‑management practices: deprecation timelines, backwards‑compatibility commitments, and migration support for breaking changes.
- Define and track success metrics – platform adoption, onboarding time, self‑service coverage, incident response, and customer satisfaction – to guide product decisions with data.
- Collaborate closely with security, compliance, and architecture teams to ensure platform capabilities meet regulatory requirements (HIPAA, ISO27001, GDPR, design controls) without creating unnecessary friction.
- Contribute to the strategy for extending cloud services to external partners and third parties, including governance models, security boundaries, and onboarding automation.
Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of overall IT experience, with at least four years in product leadership or product ownership, ideally in a platform or infrastructure context.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands across multiple stakeholder teams and align them toward common goals and delivery timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of explaining complex platform changes to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating technical discussions around DevOps, cloud security, and compliance topics.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and working on cross‑functional teams with both technical and non‑technical members.
- Consulting, negotiation, and influencing skills, representing platform constraints while understanding customer pain.
- Familiarity with Agile principles (Kanban and Scrum) and comfortable with backlog management and sprint/flow‑based delivery.
- Track record of improving developer experience, documentation quality, or self‑service capabilities in a platform or infrastructure team.
Technical Experience
- Minimum four years of hands‑on experience with AWS: Terraform modules, IAM policies, AWS Organizations, IAM, Identity Center, and AWS security services.
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tooling (Terraform/Terragrunt) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and how security integrates into the development lifecycle.
- Experience designing or operating multi‑tenant platforms serving diverse consumer teams.
- Familiarity with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus) and incident‑management practices.
- Previous experience as a cloud engineer, DevOps engineer, SRE, architect, or technical lead.
Nice to Have
- Good understanding of compliance topics such as information security and design control, especially within the healthcare sector (HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO27001, GDPR).
- AWS certifications (Developer, Solution Architect Associate/Professional, SysOps).
- Experience with platform onboarding automation or internal developer portals.
