Job description
Tax Analyst (m/f/x)

This position will report to the Tax Manager and will execute tax compliance activities related to VAT tax processing. The VAT Analyst is responsible for ensuring that processes are put in place to ensure correct indirect tax reporting and that all indirect tax obligations are met. Provide VAT advice to Zoetis business units and SSC teams, primarily focusing on EU countries.

Responsibilities
  • Return preparation and filing: VAT returns, EC Listing and Intrastat returns for over a dozen countries
  • Reconciliation and accounting: reconcile VAT accounts and make the respective VAT journal entries to clear VAT accounts; process payments to/from local authorities
  • Audit assistance: support VAT audits performed by local tax authorities and/or accounting firms
  • Communication with internal customers: business units, tax leaders and other sub‑contracted support functions to resolve discrepancies, issues and queries for VAT related matters in a timely manner and, if required, escalating to the VAT Process Delivery Lead
  • Drive standardization, automation and process improvements to ensure VAT compliance, support the development and recommendation of VAT operational processes and internal policies
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting or related job experience
  • Professional accountancy qualification (preferred, not required)
  • 1–2 years of experience working in VAT compliance or accounting, including preparation of VAT returns for multinational registrations; knowledge of jurisdictions beyond Polish VAT is an advantage
  • Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access) and hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred, but not required). Excel skills are a must
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, and in addition, applicable local language(s) would be an advantage
