About you

• knowledge of capacity and inventory management,
• knowledge of forecasting systems, security stock, production and transportation lead times,
• knowledge of Vendor Managed Replenishment systems is an asset,
• knowledge of supply chain logistics including different replenishment and delivery solutions,
• fluent English (written and spoken),
• very good analytical skills and experience in logistic field,
• able to prioritize goals/tasks; monitor and follow them up,
• ability to understand what impact for tomorrow have today’s decisions,
• being good team player and good communicator,
• ability to build and keep up interpersonal relations with other parties (suppliers, colleagues from own and other groups).

About the job

Supply Planner is responsible for practical delivery planning work for a fixed group of suppliers. He/She acts as a bridge between IKEA and Supplier. Within the team Supply Planner has a common responsibility together with Business Developer, Production Engineer and Product Engineer for the fulfilment of the team priorities and goals. His/her part of job is to ensure, that deliveries from suppliers to stores/warehouses go according to delivery plans, system is updated and all involved parties have sufficient information about the status quo. This job demands also a lot of creativity: a lot of today’s solutions within logistic field can be changed for better, more efficient, more simple, faster and cheaper!

About the assignment

• Secure operational capacities by ensuring high quality of capacity data from suppliers and by working continuously towards exceptions together with Need Planner and Supplier in a proactive manner. Contribute to tactical capacity planning based on supplier performance on agreed capacity.
• Update and secure correct business set-up information in all relevant systems. Furthermore work with systems and reports, to proactively detect and act on possible deviations from goal.
• Prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by continuously maintaining & developing supplier delivery performance and sender lead-times. Contribute to identifying best logistical offer, furthermore implements, maintains and reviews by having customer and total cost in mind.
• Actively contributes in the planning and execution of the best set-up for range changes at supplier, constraints periods and activities.
• Continuously follow-up, analyse and takes action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensures goods are shipped in time from suppliers.

Position requires travelling up to 30% of working time.
