Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in supplier risk, third-party risk management, procurement, supply chain resilience, business continuity, or enterprise risk.
  • Experience designing or leading risk frameworks, governance, and cross-functional mitigation programs in a global organization.
  • Strong experience with supplier business continuity planning assessment, disruption management, and executive risk reporting.
  • Experience leading people, projects, or major global workstreams in a matrix environment.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare, or another highly regulated and supply-critical industry.
  • Relevant certification such as ISO 31000, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global supplier risk and resilience strategy, service catalogue, governance model, risk appetite alignment, and multi-year roadmap.
  • Design and improve the end-to-end supplier risk management framework, from onboarding and segmentation through monitoring, mitigation, periodic review, escalation, and offboarding.
  • Lead a consistent approach across various risk domains, while keeping ownership with the relevant specialist teams.
  • Own critical supplier and supply chain resilience standards, including business continuity planning expectations, recovery preparedness, scenario planning, stress testing, and mitigation governance.
  • Establish early warning, escalation, incident triage, and disruption response protocols, including decision rights and links to enterprise crisis management.
  • Provide executive reporting on supplier risk portfolio, threats, exposures, gaps, and incidents.

Job Description
About the role:

The Supplier Risk and Resilience Lead provides global leadership for Procurement’s supplier risk and resilience service line. In this role, you will own the strategy, governance, operating model, and performance of end-to-end supplier risk management, continuous monitoring, early warning, business continuity, resilience, critical supplier risk reviews, and supplier disruption response. You will turn risk information from multiple areas into clear priorities and coordinated action, helping Procurement and business teams anticipate threats, protect supply continuity, and support uninterrupted delivery to patients.

How you will contribute:
  • Own the global supplier risk and resilience strategy, service catalogue, governance model, risk appetite alignment, and multi-year roadmap.

  • Design and improve the end-to-end supplier risk management framework, from onboarding and segmentation through monitoring, mitigation, periodic review, escalation, and offboarding.

  • Lead a consistent approach across financial, operational, geopolitical, cyber, quality, regulatory, environmental, social, and governance, concentration, and supply continuity risks, while keeping domain ownership with the relevant specialist teams.

  • Own critical supplier and critical supply chain resilience standards, including business continuity planning expectations, recovery preparedness, scenario planning, stress testing, and mitigation governance.

  • Establish early warning, escalation, incident triage, and disruption response protocols, including decision rights and links to enterprise crisis management.

  • Provide executive reporting on the supplier risk portfolio, emerging threats, concentration exposures, resilience gaps, mitigation status, and material incidents.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Supplier Risk and Resilience Managers, assign portfolios and priorities, and ensure consistent service delivery.

  • Represent Procurement in cross-functional risk forums and relevant external supplier risk and resilience networks.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in supplier risk, third-party risk management, procurement, supply chain resilience, business continuity, or enterprise risk.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Risk Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience designing or leading risk frameworks, governance, and cross-functional mitigation programs in a global organization.

  • Strong experience with supplier business continuity planning assessment, disruption management, and executive risk reporting.

  • Experience leading people, projects, or major global workstreams in a matrix environment.

  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

  • Advanced degree in Risk Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business.

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare, or another highly regulated and supply-critical industry.

  • Relevant certification such as ISO 31000, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or equivalent.

  • Experience with supplier risk platforms, external risk data providers, and multi-tier mapping solutions.
