We’re building something exciting in Kraków and Warsaw - a new Integrated Delivery Solutions team (IDS) and we are looking for a Structural Engineer/ Projektant/ Projektantka Konstrukcji.
The selected candidate will be employed by Critical Mission Services Sp. z o.o., part of Amentum.
Structural Engineer will support Amentum’s Integrated Delivery Solutions (IDS) team in delivering structural design and engineering solutions for design and construction projects across highly regulated sectors (e.g., infrastructure, industrial, energy). You will be responsible for leading structural analyses and design, developing design deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications), integrating with multi‑disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and governance. The role requires in‑depth technical knowledge of structural engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines (e.g., civil, geotechnical, architecture, MEP, fire, seismic). Although the role is based in Poland, projects follow predominantly UK and European standards, with additional exposure to US codes on some programmes. Training and guidance will be provided where needed.
Collaborate effectively within BIM-enabled workflows (Revit/Tekla/Navisworks).
Review and coordinate structural models.
Apply BIM principles in design development.
(For BIM educated or BIM coordinating engineers) Support modelling standards, CDE workflows, clash resolution, and digital delivery coordination.
Technical Mastery (Discipline Depth): Strong command of structural mechanics, analysis, and design of steel and RC (plus working knowledge of timber/masonry).
Cross‑Disciplinary Awareness: Basic knowledge of related fields (e.g. geotechnical interaction, loads from MEP/process, architectural constraints, fire/seismic implications).
Problem Solving & Innovation: Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective using existing solutions; proposes pragmatic, code‑compliant alternatives.
Independence & Accountability: Works independently with minimal guidance; accountable for ongoing activities, deliverables, and quality.
Collaboration: Effective within multi‑disciplinary and international teams; builds strong interfaces and supports integrated delivery.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication in English and Polish; produces structured, auditable technical documentation.
Quality & Compliance: Meticulous attention to detail; champions best practices, governance, and safety (including design risk management).
Leadership & Mentoring: Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead projects or project steps and coordinate sub‑consultants/vendors.
Digital Proficiency: Proficient with structural analysis tools (e.g., Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent) and collaboration with BIM (Revit/Tekla) and CDEs..
