Position Overview

We’re seeking a Staff Engineer to help lead the technical evolution of Netwrix Directory Manager (NDM) - a key solution within our identity governance and administration (IGA) portfolio.

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a central role in guiding the architectural modernization of NDM toward a scalable, secure, and cloud‑native SaaS platform. You’ll partner closely with the Engineering Manager and Director to define technical direction, establish standards, and ensure engineering execution aligns with product and business objectives.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on role for a senior technologist who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring engineers, and elevating the technical maturity of a growing product team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager and Director to define NDM’s technical direction, architecture, and modernization strategy.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex systems and services within the NDM platform.
  • Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to support cloud transformation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure consistent delivery and technical alignment.
  • Provide architectural guidance and code‑level support during design and development.
  • Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Contribute to cross‑product identity initiatives and integration patterns as needed.

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and modern software design patterns.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating complex systems.
  • Ability to balance hands‑on engineering with technical leadership and architectural vision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other engineers.
Preferred
  • Experience leading architectural or modernization initiatives within SaaS or hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure and related cloud services.
  • Knowledge of event‑driven architectures, microservices, or containerized systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, observability, and operational reliability practices.
  • Background in identity, access management, or IGA domains.
  • Experience with data security, compliance, or regulated enterprise software.
  • Practical exposure to cloud migration or platform refactoring.
  • Experience influencing cross‑team technical strategy in distributed organizations.
  • Interest in leveraging AI‑assisted development tools or automation to accelerate delivery.
