Polish Public Television is seeking candidates for a social media lead at the Media Center for Abroad in Warsaw. You will manage TVP World’s YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and X channels, publish content, and monitor the news cycle to identify stories for digital audiences.

The role requires strong news judgment, flawless English, the ability to work under pressure and make quick, well-informed editorial decisions while ensuring editorial, linguistic and visual quality across platforms.

Responsibilities:

• manage and oversee TVP World’s YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X channels,
• prepare, publish, and distribute content across social media platforms,
• monitor the news cycle and identify stories that are relevant, timely, and valuable for social media audiences,
• exercise strong news judgment and determine which stories should be prioritized for publication,
• adapt content to the specific requirements, formats, and audiences of individual platforms,
• ensure the editorial, factual, linguistic, and visual quality of published content,
• effectively prioritize tasks and respond quickly to changing news developments.

Requirements:

• proven experience managing social media channels, particularly YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter),
• excellent command of English, both written and spoken,
• strong news judgment and a good understanding of what makes a story relevant and engaging for digital audiences,
• ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines,
• strong editorial instincts and the ability to make quick, well-informed decisions,
• excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to the quality of published content.

Nice to have:

• experience working with Adobe Photoshop,
• previous experience working in a newsroom or in the production of news content,
• experience working with international news or media outlets.
