Sonova is a global leader in hearing care, seeking a Software Engineer - Python & MATLAB to join an international, scaled agile team and help build tools for firmware development and testing. You will design and maintain software development tools for signal- and neural-network processing, collaborate across teams, and contribute to architectural quality while embracing our hybrid work model.

Strong embedded software experience and 7+ years in Python, plus 2+ years in MATLAB, are required;

Qualificações

• Experience in developing, deploying and maintaining embedded software systems.
• Proficiency in Python, with industry experience totaling 7+ years.
• Experience with MATLAB in an industrial environment (2+ years).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and cross-technology work.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, integrate, document and maintain software development tools for model-based development and embedded applications.
• Collect and refine requirements for design and implementation.
• Support team communications between tool developers and users.
• Contribute to design reviews and enforce best practices and guidelines.
• Support architectural qualities for modularity and extensibility.

Software Engineer - Python & MATLAB

This is your opportunity to work in a scaled agile environment within international teams developing high-tech solutions for the medical hearing health care sector. You will be responsible for the development of tools for building, testing, and releasing firmware for our products.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, integrate, document and maintain the software development tools enabling model-based functional development, and embedded application-level development for signal- and neural-network processing
• Collect and refine requirements as required for design and implementation
• Actively support communication and collaboration among the team that develops the tools and the teams that use the tools
• Contribute to design reviews, leverage best-practices in software development, document and implement guidelines
• Contribute to architectural qualities in support of conceptual integrity, modularity and extensibility

More about you

• Experience in the development, deployment and maintenance of embedded software systems (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Python - at least 7 years of experince (mandatory)
• Experience with MATLAB in industry envoirment - at least 2 years of experience (mandatory)
• Fluency in CI/CD systems, hands on experience with DevOps Azure, GutHub Actions
• Eagerness to work across different technologies
• Team player with service orientation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to have qualifications:

• University degree (MSc/BSc) or equivalent in computer science or related technical field
• Knowledge of one (or more) of the following technologies: Simulink, C, C++ (including CMake and Conan), Docker
• Foundational knowledge in Signal- and Neural Network Processing is a plus
