Job summary

The Splunk Metadata Catalog (MDC) team within Cisco is building a Knowledge Graph to help users discover data and understand relationships and lineage across Splunk objects. You will join a fast-paced team advancing a new product aligned with Cisco Data Fabric vision, delivering high-quality, scalable software.

You will contribute to design, implement reliable services, and participate in on-call and operations while adopting new technologies to improve the product and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's + 5 years of related experience, or Master's + 3 years of related experience.
• Experience delivering new services/features in a fast-paced product environment.
• Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).
• OO languages: Go, C++, or Java.
• Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD and iterative development.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, software design and distributed systems.
• Strong focus on software quality, reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to high level design for multiple features with senior team members.
• Build reliable, scalable, high-performance applications.
• Drive Developer Owned Quality across the product.
• Debug and resolve customer-reported issues with effective solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews for reliability.
• Learn, explore and integrate new technologies into the team's workflow.
