Job summary

Allegro in Toruń is seeking backend engineers with strong Kotlin/Java skills to own and evolve high-performance microservices in a cloud-native, Linux environment. You will tackle complex backend challenges for a massive real-time marketplace, with a strong emphasis on autonomy, code quality, and collaboration.

You will work in cross-functional teams, contribute to the product catalogue domain, and benefit from a flexible office-first model with modern tech and extensive professional development

Qualifications

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java with an eagerness to master Kotlin for new services.
• Willingness to work on a deep, meaningful projects and deliver quality code.
• Ability to participate in code reviews and share knowledge.

In our domain, we focus on solutions centered around the product catalogue, a critical component within Allegro's core partner journey and a key driver in the professionalization of the entire platform. We approach quality with particular diligence to ensure stability, scalability and simplicity of the offer listing process. Moreover, product catalogue data quality is crucial for correctness of internal Allegro processes. We work in cross-functional teams where various technologies collaborate closely to deliver the highest quality solutions to our users. Our teams consist of backend engineers and frontend specialists supported by project managers, UX-designers and data scientists.

• Flexible working hours in an office first model (4/1) that depend on you and your team. Starting later or finishing earlier? No problem! Work hours keep pace with our lifestyles and can start between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
• The salary range for this position depending on the skill set is as follows (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost):
• PLN 14 600 - 20 825
• Annual bonus (depending on your annual assessment and the company's results)
• Our team is based in Toruń.

• Have commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java (with an eagerness to master Kotlin for our new services).

• Can translate user requirements into effective solutions, paired with an AI-open mindset;

• Know English at least at B2 level.
