Software Engineer -- Azure / PostgreSQL / DevOps

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Unix/Linux, Bash scripting, Azure Data Factory, and DevOps. The role involves application support, automation, data integration, incident troubleshooting, and improving the reliability and operational efficiency of distributed applications.

Core Skills and Experience

Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including SQL, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and operational support.
Strong Unix/Linux skills with practical Bash scripting experience for automation, deployment, and operational support.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration, orchestration, monitoring, and workflow management.
Strong DevOps experience covering source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation, preferably with GitLab.
Experience automating repetitive operational tasks and troubleshooting incidents across distributed applications.
Experience with Elasticsearch and/or Cloudera.
Good understanding of application reliability, monitoring, observability, and production support practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

Automate operational processes and recurring support activities using Unix/Linux tools, Bash scripting, and Azure services.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications while ensuring timely restoration of services and addressing root causes.
Build, maintain, and support Azure-based data workflows and integrations using PostgreSQL and Azure Data Factory.
Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual activities.
Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to reliable and efficient software delivery processes.
Improve application reliability through observability, resilient design, operational documentation, and production-readiness practices.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across distributed applications and data platforms.
Deliver secure, maintainable, scalable, and compliant solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to support coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, with proper quality and security oversight.

Qualification and Years of Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in software engineering, application support, DevOps, automation, or related areas.
