Job Location: Remote in the United States only. Note: All applicants must be authorized to work in the US. Travel requirements: 95% Remote 5% Travel (EST Time zone working hours). Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDeT).

Position Summary

In the role of SDeT at CareMetx, you will be a change agent, working collaboratively to deliver better quality outcomes for our users and patients. By applying quality and development best practices, you will provide solutions that enrich the customer experience, reduce time to market, and enable the business to operate at scale.

Responsibilities

• Solid understanding of coding principles both for feature development and validation

• Creates, manages, executes, and analyzes a variety of tools and automated tests (Functional/Non-functional, API, DB, Chaos, UI, etc.)
• Ensures appropriate test coverage and can balance business needs, risk, and quality outcomes
• Produces supporting documentation, metrics/measures, and other testing information
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Prioritizes knowledge sharing and works to uplift and enable peers
• Understands ownership meaning in terms of responsibility and accountability
• Proactively identifies and removes obstacles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or technical discipline with strong programming/scripting experience
• 4+ years of demonstrated experience as a professional in engineering or quality
• Extensive experience in API testing
• Experience as a feature developer or have written code beyond automated tests
• Experience testing database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
• Experience with a variety of automated test tools and programming languages
• Experience in true Agile development environments
• Log and communicate test outcomes/status
• Outstanding communication skills, follow through, and stakeholder management

Bonus Points

• Experience with Postman, Jira, Zephyr Scale, PyTest, Selenium
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, and/or .NET
• Experience with TDD, BDD, DevOps
• Experience with performance testing, test optimization, and/or infrastructure testing
• Healthcare and pharma domain knowledge
