Job description

Tasks:

Main Responsibilities:

• Sprint and release planning, task prioritization according to business requirements
• Facilitating the Scrum process:
  • Organizing and leading meetings (Daily Stand-ups)
  • Planning and conducting Sprint Planning
  • Organizing Sprint Reviews to present sprint outcomes to stakeholders
  • Conducting Sprint Retrospectives to discuss strengths and areas for improvement, and enhancing processes
• Supporting development teams in self-organization and effective collaboration
• Ensuring understanding and adherence to Agile and Scrum principles
• Assisting teams in task estimation and work planning
• Product backlog management / scope management
• Reviewing and refining the product backlog with business owners, ensuring priority alignment with business goals
• Verifying team work:
  • Evaluating and accepting sprint outcomes according to criteria
  • Participating in sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Providing feedback to the team
• Monitoring and analysis:
  • Tracking performance indicators
  • Regularly reviewing and updating product strategy based on results and feedback
  • Tracking project progress
  • Identifying risks, resolving or escalating issues
• Planning, reviewing, reporting, documentation, and communication in the project will be carried out using Azure DevOps

Detailed Tasks:

Meeting Project Requirements:

• Ensuring technical solutions align with business goals and client constraints
• Planning development tasks in advance, including integration, data migration, and production deployment of system releases (system coexistence during the transition period)
• Preparing and planning tests, especially UAT

Solution Design:

• Insight into system architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance criteria
• Supervision of completeness and proper maintenance of system documentation and its updates

Project Planning and Execution:

• Planning, supervising execution, and acceptance of sprints:
  • Developing with the team an approach to sprint capacity planning and management
  • Preparing and estimating tasks within the sprint
  • Ongoing support for developers in executing these activities, including supervision of developer work organization
• Defining acceptance criteria for individual sprints and agreeing them with the Client’s Product Owner
• Defining criteria and methods for measuring sprint effectiveness, including KPIs for the development team to assess achievement of intended performance parameters
• Defining infrastructure requirements related to sprints or sprint groups and testing
• Conducting retrospectives and weekly meetings – reviewing and refining the product backlog, ensuring priority alignment with project business goals
• Leading sprint acceptance meetings with the Client
• Ensuring proper preparation and execution of the acceptance process

Progress Verification:

• Monitoring and reporting sprint and release progress
• Ensuring results meet defined acceptance criteria

Risk Management:

• Actively identifying potential technical risks and issues that may impact schedule and budget
• Supporting risk mitigation processes (e.g., preparing technical or organizational recommendations related to development)
• Leading project meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint acceptance
• Identifying potential risks – providing the project team with specific guidelines on actions, tools, etc., to reduce risks or improve quality/efficiency/satisfaction in the project
• Ensuring collaboration with subcontractor development teams
• Managing team relationships, identifying competency gaps, mitigating/escalating risks related to subcontractor developers, recommending actions

Documentation and Reporting:

• Coordinating backlog updates to ensure continuity of developer work
• Ensuring data in Azure DevOps is up-to-date and complete for progress reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT project coordination and Agile/Scrum facilitation
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles and Agile methodologies
• Experience in sprint planning, backlog management, and stakeholder communication
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools
• Ability to define and monitor KPIs and acceptance criteria
• Experience in risk identification and mitigation within software development projects
• Knowledge of system architecture and documentation standards
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage collaboration with internal and external development teams
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Polish language skills are a plus
