Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled SMT Process Engineer to join our clients production team. This is a dynamic role focused on process improvement, new product introduction, and technical support within the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SMT machinery, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong technical background.

Location: Lublin

Project duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials with a focus on SMT processes
  • Modify and optimize existing machine programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues
  • Continuously analyze and optimize SMT processes
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Provide technical support for the installation and commissioning of new SMT production lines.
  • Develop and implement process documentation, work instructions, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional
  • Complete customer's product and process control requirements and customer audits
  • Support and train operators and technicians

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Physics, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing process engineering
  • Familiarity with FMEA and knowledge of IATF16949 standard requirements are advantageous
  • Experience with FE & BE SMT processes (solder-paste stencil printing, SMT-glue dispensing, P&P, reflow-soldering, single pin pressfit, selective-soldering, selective-coating)
  • Experience with different product process strategies and manufacturing DFM of SMT processes
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001, IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, MSA requirements
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) tools
  • Familiarity with Lean concepts and tools: 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, PDCA, PokaYoke, TPM
  • Fluent English skills
  • Ability to work onsite
  • Strong team-building and organizational skills
