KION Group IT is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Platform Operations Global Team in Kraków. You will develop, operate and improve the infrastructure and services for a Java-based and 3rd party applications stack.

Qualifications

• 3 years of working experience in a similar position (SRE/DevOps or related).
• Ability to debug, optimize, and automate routine tasks and deployments.
• Familiarity with setting up and enhancing product monitoring.
• Systematic problem-solving approach with good communication.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Demonstrable Agile mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud-based platform infrastructure, including IDP development.
• Automate platform components, deployments, and recurring operational tasks for reliability.
• Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and SLO-based alerts.
• Ensure platform availability, stability, and security compliance.

• Automate platform components, application deployments, and recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability
• Implement and enhance observability capabilities, including monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting based on SLOs
• Ensure platform availability, stability, and compliance with KION quality and security standards
• Improve KION IT Services reliability:

• Facilitate blameless postmortems
• Derive improvement measures
• Maintain and work on the operational issues backlog

• Support onboarding of new 3rd‑party and SaaS solutions to the team
• Contribute to maintaining operational readiness, including participation in the team’s on‑call rotation
• Operate, monitor, and take over custom-built and 3rd‑party Java-based applications on the platform, transitioning them from project teams to operations
