Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a PLC Engineer (Siemens) to modernize automation systems for steel/metals production. You will design and validate PLC software, integrate with SCADA/Level 2, and support commissioning to ensure reliable plant operations.

The role requires hands-on Siemens PLC experience, proficiency with TIA Portal/Step7, and knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages. English must be Intermediate+ or higher; travel onsite may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven PLC engineering experience in Siemens stack for 3+ years.
• Hands-on with TIA Portal / Step7 and S7-300/400/1500.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages (LD/ST/FBD/SFC).
• Profinet/Profibus experience and commissioning mindset.
• Ability to follow standards to keep project quality high.
• English level – Intermediate+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Developing and modifying PLC software for steel/metals lines.
• Performing detailed engineering: logic, sequences, interlocks, diagnostics.
• Integrating with SCADA/HMI and Level 2; supporting FAT/SAT.
• Troubleshooting and supporting commissioning (remote/on-site).
• Maintaining technical documentation: changes and test scenarios.
