Job summary

Personio is seeking a hands-on Shift Lead for our new manufacturing facility in Poland. You will manage a ~60-strong assembly team, drive ramp-up of processes and lines, and ensure adherence to quality and EHS standards. You will optimize line flow and support rapid production scaling in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong leadership, Lean knowledge, and the ability to adapt to frequent process changes while maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electronics, electrical engineering, or automotive preferred.
• English level at B2 or higher.
• Willingness to work in shifts (1st shift initially, then 3-shift).
• Strong quick-decision making and troubleshooting under pressure.
• Excellent communication and leadership for a large team (~60).
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen, Problem Solving/5Why, Kanban).
• SEP Certifications (G1) >1kV in Operation and Supervision are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a shift team of ~60 assembly operators; foster motivation and culture in a new facility.
• Participate in introducing new processes and production lines; guide the team through changes during ramp-up.
• Monitor takt time, meet daily volume targets, and respond to downtime risks.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and process issues on the production line.
• Enforce quality specs, assembly instructions, and EHS/ergonomic standards.
• Onboard new team members; train on electrical assembly standards and build skill matrices.
• Manage shift organization: task allocation, staffing, attendance, timekeeping.
• Participate in shift handovers, track KPIs, and propose process improvements.
