Vestas is seeking a Travel Service Technician for Poland who will conduct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance on wind turbines across the NCE region. The role involves 3/2 week rotation, strict safety practices, and hands-on work with tools, parts, and documentation.

You will travel between sites, work in teams, and report to the regional service operations group while upholding high safety standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university.
• Professional electrical or mechanical experience, preferably in wind or high voltage.
• Basic MS Office knowledge; able to use tools/systems for monitoring work and documentation.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Valid driving license in Poland, plus BE and CE.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders and carry tools in turbines.
• Willingness to travel across NCE region with 3/2 weeks rotation.

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts.
• Ensure turbine remains safe, clean, and well-maintained after every job.
• Fill out work orders and checklists; propose process optimizations.
• Check tools and spare parts for accuracy and readiness before starting work.
• Ensure proper equipment, PPE, and spare parts are available for the job.

The Service Operations Development NCE Department delivers customized solutions for up-tower repairs, crane less solutions or cost out initiatives to the NCE (Northern & Central Europe) Service regions. Strong collaboration with WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) Engineering Support / Construction and CIM department.

We are looking for candidates from all over the Poland willing to travel across NCE region and work in 3/2 weeks rotation scheme.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in working safely and with attention to detail; promotes and always demonstrates safe behavior and practices
• Performing all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Secures and monitors the clean and tidy condition of the turbine after job completion
• Filling out work orders and checklists, confirming completed orders including proposals for the optimization of processes
• Checks tools and spare parts for accuracy, operational capability, and completeness prior to starting work
• Responsible for the equipment of the vehicles with tools, personal protective equipment, and spare parts
• Ensuring on-time return of unused and defective materials and tools with correct declaration and correct packaging

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university
• Professional experience (electrical or mechanical) preferably in Wind Industry or with high voltage (preferably gained over a 2-year period)
• Basic knowledge of MS Office; experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
• Valid driving license in Poland, + BE and CE
• You have the physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and work while carrying materials and tools around in the turbine
• You can read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and attention to detail to follow safety protocols
• Ability to travel across NCE region and work in 3/2 weeks rotation scheme
• A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment
• Ability to climb a wind turbine and perform tough physical work in heights as well as in various weather conditions
• Enjoy working in teams and communicating with numerous stakeholders; you will work closely with others in the field but also connect with the wider business
• Solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized in your work
• Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English as well as the ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent
• You can read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and pay attention to detail to follow safety protocols
