The role combines advanced technical expertise with strong customer focus to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assets, while contributing to customer satisfaction.The Senior Service Engineer operates with a high degree of autonomy, supports complex service activities, and acts as a technical reference for customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.**How you’ll make an impact:*** Perform advanced commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex systems and equipment.* Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.* Execute service activities in compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.* Act as a trusted technical interface for customers during service execution and after-service follow-up.* Support customer training, technical briefings, and on-site guidance when required.* Provide clear technical explanations, recommendations, and improvement proposals to customers.* Ensure service activities comply with all Health and Safety internal procedures, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.* Provide technical input for service quotations, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities.* Coordinate with service coordinators, project managers, engineering, and supply chain to ensure efficient execution.* Act as the main point of contact for customers, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.**Your background:*** 5–10 years of hands-on field service experience in industrial, electrical, automation, or power systems environments.* Proven experience with complex installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle service activities.* Background in customer-facing roles, working independently on-site and managing technical responsibility.* Experience in service projects, outages, retrofits, upgrades, or system extensions is highly desirable.* Strong knowledge of one or more of the following, depending on the business area: Automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Protection and control systems, communication networks.* In depth knowledge of Substation Automation Systems such as MicroSCADA or similar will be beneficial.* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, functional specifications and technical documentation.* Willingness to travel frequently and work on customer sites, including occasional on-call or outage support.**Grid Automation business unit** offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions in the field of substation automation and communication systems.
