Job summary

Parallel is seeking a senior web designer to lead the design of our most important sites. You will own hands-on design, shaping brand behavior on the web and ensuring cohesion with product design and development.

You will collaborate with founders, art-direct visual assets, and mentor junior designers while advancing Parallel’s craft and scale. This remote India role demands impeccable taste and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing websites in a studio, agency, or in-house at a software company.
• Led web projects with designers either collaborating or reporting to you.
• Exceptional craft and a sharp eye for typography; craft matters more than decoration.
• Strong grasp of brand systems; you can work within and extend a brand.
• Motion and interaction skills: scroll, transitions, subtle site micro-movements.
• Fluency in Figma and working knowledge of Framer or Webflow.
• Comfort presenting to founders and defending design decisions.
• Conscious use of AI in the workflow, knowing where it helps or hinders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the web design on major client projects from concept to launch.
• Shape how a brand behaves on the web through typography, color, grid, and motion.
• Design client sites: homepage, product pages, pricing, landing pages.
• Art direct photography, illustration, and 3D when needed.
