Job summary

Techland Sp. z o. o. in Poland seeks a senior UI developer to implement UI in its new open-world games, collaborating with UX/UI designers, artists and gameplay teams.

You will own and drive complex UI systems, extend the UI framework, and debug/optimize for performance and stability while mentoring peers to grow expertise within the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on UI implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of C++.
• Experience working closely with UX/UI designers.
• Ability to profile and optimize code, with cross‑platform performance focus.
• Passion for games and knowledge of latest titles and trends, especially FPS.
• Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
• Very good command of English.
• Familiarity with version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement UI in Techland's newest games and iterate on features.

Job Description

Your daily tasks:

Implementation of UI in Techland's newest games, in particular you will:

• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, artists, and gameplay teams to implement, and iterate on UI features that enable great player experience.
• Own and drive the development of complex UI systems.
• Extend our proprietary UI framework and tools to support efficient content creation.
• Debug and optimize UI code for performance, responsiveness, and stability.
• Mentor and support other programmers by sharing best practices, reviewing code, and helping grow expertise within the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on UI implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of C++.
• Experience working closely with UX/UI designers.
• Ability to profile and optimize code, with a focus on cross-platform performance.
• Authentic passion for games as well as knowledge of the latest titles and trends, especially in FPP games.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Very good command of English.
• Familiarity with version control systems.

Nice to have:

• Computer science education.
• Knowledge of commercial game engines such as Unreal Engine and / or Unity.
• At least one shipped AAA title developed from start to finish.
• Proven history of mentoring fellow programmers.
• Experience with refactoring large complex systems.
