Job summary

Xebia Group is looking for a hands-on TypeScript engineer to join a 2-month project with potential extension. You will design backend services, APIs and system integrations, while building AI-powered orchestration workflows and integrating with external tools.

Strong AWS know-how and independent, ownership-driven work are required for success in a dynamic EU-based environment. You will collaborate with peers to test ideas, iterate on solutions and deliver reliable software, ensuring quality,

You will be:

the project is initially planned for 2 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs and future plans,

developing production-grade applications using TypeScript and modern software development practices,

designing and implementing backend services, APIs and system integrations,

building and maintaining agentic AI orchestration workflows,

integrating AI agents with external tools, services and existing systems,

contributing to the development of AI-powered applications and exploring new technical approaches,

working with AWS services to build and support cloud-based solutions,

collaborating with the team to test ideas, iterate on solutions and deliver reliable software,

ensuring code quality, maintainability and scalability throughout the development process.

Your profile:

strong hands-on experience with TypeScript,

proven experience building and delivering production-grade applications,

solid backend development skills, including API design and system integrations,

experience applying modern software development practices,

familiarity with AWS and cloud-based application development,

ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and take ownership of technical solutions,

practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,

• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
