Job summary

ELEKS is a custom software development company delivering value since 1991. We seek an experienced QA Automation Engineer to own automation across API and frontend, building robust frameworks and mock environments.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD, collaborate with customers, and drive continuous quality improvements in a multinational delivery setting. Join a team of 2000+ professionals across Eastern Europe with offices in Europe and North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software testing experience with hands-on test automation.
• Experience in API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for API/backend testing.
• Experience setting up and maintaining mock servers and stubs for external service integrations.
• Ability to extend automation coverage to frontend applications.
• Strong test-architecture knowledge and CI/CD integration experience.
• Analytical mindset with ownership of test infrastructure and quality initiatives.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Review and translate requirements into quality control artefacts.
• Prepare and acquire test data.
• Develop, execute, refactor and optimise automation scripts.
• Log, evaluate results, and document deviations from expected results.
• Use automation tools for administration, monitoring, and management.
• Provide automation test environment setup.
• Review artefacts and contribute to process improvements.
• Investigate and implement new automation tools or approaches.
• Communicate with a customer.

The Customer is an international product company, owning a variety of software products for law and accounting companies. They provide software products and services that enable professional services firms to thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace by improving client service, increasing profitability, and reducing operational costs.

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of software testing experience, including significant hands‑on test automation experience

Strong experience in API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript

Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for API/backend testing

Experience setting up and maintaining mock servers and stubs for external service integrations

Ability to extend automation coverage from backend services to frontend applications

Good understanding of test architecture, mocking strategies, and test data management

Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Proactive mindset with ownership of test infrastructure and continuous quality improvement initiatives

• Upper‑Intermediate level of English

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications as well as product functionality to convert them into quality control process artefacts
• Prepare and acquire test data
