Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer (SDET) to design automated testing for Azure-based data pipelines, warehousing, and BI reporting. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality, trusted, scalable data-driven insights.

Key tasks include driving testing standards, integrating tests into CI/CD, and supporting data transformations and business rules validation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in test automation, software quality engineering, or SDET roles.
• Solid programming skills in Python and experience with test automation frameworks.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with large-scale data environments.
• Experience validating ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, or analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure data services, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD practices and DataOps/TestOps practices.
• Understanding of data quality, data modeling, and analytics testing principles.
• Experience supporting reporting and business intelligence solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in international teams.

Join our Data & Analytics team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise data solutions.
