Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Senior/Principal Linux Engineer to manage complex on-premise Linux infrastructures, lifecycle management, automation and virtualization. You will join a senior Polish team delivering managed services for a Netherlands-based provider, working with Linux distros, Ansible, OpenStack and modern observability stacks.

Ideal candidates will have strong scripting, IaC expertise and a proactive mindset, with readiness for international collaboration and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in managing on-premise Linux infrastructures and lifecycle management.
• Proficient in automation, configuration management and deployment patching.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell and at least one other language (preferably Python).
• Experience with Ansible to manage systems and scale deployments.
• Familiarity with virtualization concepts; OpenStack knowledge is a plus.
• Hands-on with Prometheus/Grafana/Loki observability stacks and IaC principles.

We are looking for a Senior/Principal Linux Engineer with deep expertise in managing complex on-premise Linux infrastructures, lifecycle and configuration management, automation, and virtualization. You will join a senior Polish engineering team delivering managed services for a leading IT infrastructure provider in the Netherlands, working with advanced technologies across Linux distributions, automation platforms, observability stacks, and security domains such as IAM and IPAM.

Advanced Knowledge And Experience In

• Using, configuring and maintaining Automation Platforms (preferably AAP/AWX)
• Configuration and management of Linux distributions like RHEL, OL and Ubuntu
• Manual and automatic methods of deployment and patching for mentioned Linux distributions
• Shell scripting as well as at least one other programming language (preferably Python)
• Using Ansible to manage systems and processes and scale
• Reverse engineering of systems and platforms
• Good understanding of virtualization concepts, OpenStack knowledge a plus
• Good understanding of IaC principals
• Prometheus/Grafana/Loki based Observability stack
• Creating and maintaining technical documentationProject management experience
