• Ability to work in the office or in a hybrid model

Here’s what you’ll need

• Proven ability to lead design teams
• Experience of delivering outline and detailed design of surface water drainage solutions and surface water drainage strategies including SuDS, green infrastructure and gravity piped drainage
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and design standards relating to surface water management and SuDS
• Competent in at least one hydraulic modelling package (e.g. MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, InfoWorks ICM, Causeway Flow) and hydrology software (e.g. ReFH2)
• Knowledge of an additional hydraulic modelling package will be a plus
• Experience in checking and reviewing design calculations, hydraulic models, contract documents, technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of Safety in Design and an understanding of CDM requirements
• Highly effective communicator, willing to mentor junior staff.
• Chartered status with the ICE, CIWEM or similar would be a benefit
