Job summary

Kingfisher is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high-quality iOS apps. The role blends hands-on coding with collaboration across product and design teams, working with Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode to deliver scalable mobile experiences.

The position is hybrid, based in Kraków with one in-office day per week. You’ll contribute to secure, performante, accessible apps while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering production-grade iOS apps.
• Strong knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Xcode.
• Experience with modern mobile architectures (TCA, Redux, MVI).
• Experience integrating REST/GraphQL and SDKs.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
• Promote clean architecture, maintainable code, and robust testing strategies (e.g. TCA, modularisation, unit/UI testing).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to shape solutions.
• Architect and oversee integrations with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SDKs, and third-party platforms for reliability and scalability.
• Champion mobile security, accessibility, performance optimization, and app quality across the lifecycle.
• Lead code reviews, mentoring, refactoring initiatives, and troubleshooting to maintain a high-quality codebase.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, release management, and engineering workflows.
• Stay current with iOS technologies and share knowledge within the team.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers in technical growth.
• Contribute to architectural planning and long-term mobile strategy.

• Champion mobile application security, accessibility compliance, performance optimisation, and overall app quality across the development lifecycle.
• Lead code reviews, mentoring, refactoring initiatives, and complex troubleshooting efforts to maintain a high-quality and sustainable codebase.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, release management, and engineering workflows to increase delivery efficiency and product stability.
• Stay current with emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, proactively introducing improvements and sharing knowledge within the team.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and support in their professional growth.
• Contribute to technical decision-making, architectural planning, and long-term mobile strategy within the engineering organisation.

What you'll bring

• Extensive professional experience developing and delivering production-grade iOS applications.
• Expert knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Xcode ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of scalable mobile architectures such as The Composable Architecture (TCA), Redux-style patterns, or MVI.
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, SDKs, and third-party platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mobile security, performance optimisation, and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and drive engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
