Job summary

Modash is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Search team to enhance creator search across 400M+ profiles and billions of media files. You’ll work across data pipelines, embeddings, and low-latency serving, owning search from data to production.

You’ll build scalable systems, evaluate models pragmatically, and ship capabilities with autonomy. The role is fully remote in Europe with competitive compensation and a fast-moving, async-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• Built large-scale data or backend products with focus on latency, cost, and reliability.
• Shipped products from concept to production across teams.
• Designed distributed systems with scalable data flow and fault tolerance.
• Built LLM-powered or agentic features in production while balancing latency and cost.
• Worked autonomously on ambiguous problems and gathered requirements to drive forward.
• Communicated tradeoffs clearly across engineers and non-engineers to progress.

Responsibilities

• Make creator search meaningfully better across 400M+ profiles and billions of media files.
• Turn multimodal data into searchable intelligence with embeddings from images, video, text, and audio.
• Ship new search capabilities into production with cost and latency considerations.
• Own the system end to end from concept to deployment and measurement.
