Job summary

F5 is seeking a Security Engineer III to join the Security Operations Platform Engineering (SOPE) team. You will implement, maintain, and continuously improve security platforms that protect data, endpoints, and cloud assets, enabling reliable and secure operations across the organization.

You will collaborate with Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Logging Engineering, and IT teams to ensure visibility, telemetry, and automation while sustaining on-call readiness and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in information security, CS, or engineering.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related domains.
• Experience deploying or supporting enterprise security technologies and controls.
• Strong understanding of endpoint, identity, cloud, network, and data security."
• Experience with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain enterprise security platforms focusing on DLP and endpoint security.
• Configure and optimize security controls, policies, or telemetry to improve platform effectiveness.
• Develop automation, monitoring, and processes for platform reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and IT teams to support security operations.
