Job summary

Sora Union is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our globally distributed team. You’ll contribute to quality assurance and product engineering across frontend and backend systems, building and refining automated tests and expanding test coverage to boost release confidence.

Ideal candidates bring strong TypeScript and React experience, Node.js REST APIs, AWS serverless skills, and expertise with Jest, Playwright or Cypress.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-quality, testable software in frontend and backend systems within a fast-paced team.
• Strong testing mindset with the ability to identify edge cases, data and permission issues, and potential user impact.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation to improve release confidence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to QA and product engineering across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop and maintain automated tests; improve test coverage and reliability.
• Work with engineering and compliance teams to support regulatory requirements and testing strategies.
• Investigate bugs and regressions; identify underlying issues in implementation or data.
