Job summary

Graphcore in Gdańsk is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to validate its end-to-end telemetry and observability platform. You will design, develop and automate tests for telemetry generation, data collection, processing and dashboards.

You will work with Telemetry and Observability engineers across a full SDLC, ensuring reliability, scalability, and production readiness for internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in CS, CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years in Software QA, Test Automation or Software Eng.
• Experience designing automated test frameworks for distributed systems.
• Experience testing cloud-native or Linux-based software.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience building automated integration and system tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and testing pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and containers.
• Understanding of distributed systems, networking and API testing.
• Experience validating REST and gRPC APIs.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience testing observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, Kafka, Elastic).
• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience testing AI infrastructure, HPC or cloud infra.
• One additional language such as Go or C++.
• Knowledge of observability practices including metrics, logs and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end quality strategy for Graphcore's telemetry and observability platform.
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for telemetry lifecycle - from generation to dashboards, APIs and alerting.
• Develop automated validation frameworks for telemetry pipelines, data quality, metrics, logs, traces and time-series data.
• Design realistic test environments for large-scale distributed deployments and production-like workloads.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure testability, reliability and quality in every component.
• Validate performance, scalability, resilience and fault recovery under realistic conditions.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage and release quality.
• Investigate defects through root-cause analysis with engineering teams.
• Develop quality metrics, test reports and release readiness criteria.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and automation.
