Job description

We are pleased to announce the launch of our recruitment for two open positions within the Operations & Supply Strategy & Portfolio Management Office. We are looking for two Senior Project Managers, to be based at one of our manufacturing sites in Poland (Gniezno / Namysłów) or Hungary (Fertőd).

The Strategy & Portfolio Management Office (PMO) plays a central role in guiding the transformation of our global Operations & Supply organization. We are responsible for strategic alignment, leading key transformation projects, and managing our strategic project portfolio. Our international team is primarily based in Denmark, but we are now expanding our presence in Poland and Hungary as well.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead global strategic projects on behalf of the Operations & Supply Leadership Team.
  • Turn ideas into action by transforming project opportunities into well-defined initiatives with clear goals, resources, timelines, and risk assessments.
  • Focus on transformation areas such as digitalization, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to our strategic foundation, helping to shape the evolving Strategy & PMO function and its offerings.
Examples of upcoming projects include
  • Supporting the selection and roll‑out of a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across all sites.
  • Facilitating a program to increase automation on existing machinery and production lines across our global supply chain.
  • Overseeing the global implementation of a standard training room concept, ensuring continuous learning and operational excellence across all factories.
What We’re Looking For
  • Solid experience in leading complex global projects within manufacturing or supply chain environments with experience from consulting or a global project management office.
  • A project management toolkit, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Skilled in analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to structure and execute large‑scale initiatives.
  • A natural ability to engage with senior leaders, while collaborating with colleagues across all levels—from shop floor to executive level.
  • A collaborative and inclusive mindset, motivated to contribute to a supportive team culture.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams (e.g. production, quality, IT).
  • Financial acumen to develop and present compelling business cases.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • A valid project management certification (e.g. IPMA D/C, PRINCE2).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30 days per annum.
What We Offer
  • By joining VELUX, you will become part of a Danish, value‑driven company with a focus on people and quality.
  • By joining the Strategy & Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will be working within an international team based across three countries.
  • Our team offers exciting opportunities to be part of! Your scope will be global, covering all VELUX production sites. You’ll have the chance to collaborate across multiple functions and areas—and get to know them.
  • Benefits may vary depending on the country of employment. More details will be shared during the recruitment process.
