Job summary

Creotech Instruments is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our DevOps team in Warsaw, powering production-grade infrastructure and CI/CD platforms for space-grade projects.

You will design, implement and operate scalable Kubernetes clusters, IaC pipelines, observability and backup strategies while collaborating with software, cybersecurity and mission operations teams to deliver reliable services across product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Experience operating production‑grade infrastructure and supporting engineering teams.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms and build pipelines.

Job description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and evolving the organization’s CI/CD platform and build infrastructure.
• Designing and maintaining observability solutions covering metrics, logging, tracing and alerting.
• Building and managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and automation-first practices.
• Maintaining software artifact repositories, container registries and distribution services.
• Designing, implementing and regularly validating backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
• Operating production Kubernetes clusters deployed on-premises.
• Improving platform reliability, security and operational efficiency.
• Developing self-service capabilities that simplify infrastructure consumption across engineering teams.
• Supporting the implementation of DevSecOps practices and secure-by-design solutions.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Experience operating production‑grade infrastructure and supporting engineering teams.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms and build pipelines.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Understanding of networking, storage systems, TLS, PKI and system performance analysis.
• Programming or scripting experience in at least one language such as Python, Go, C#, Java or C++.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.
• Communicative English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with self‑hosted observability platforms.
• Knowledge of secrets management solutions and PKI operations.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management systems.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms through automation.
• Familiarity with air‑gapped, regulated or high‑assurance environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting mission‑critical or high‑availability systems.
• Interest in space technologies and satellite systems.
