Competenze

• Strong experience with Azure platform services and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar automation tools.
• Solid monitoring, logging, observability and operational excellence practices.
• Proven ability to design and support highly available, resilient cloud platforms.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup and restore processes and business continuity.

Senior Platform Engineer (Azure Platform & DevOps)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support design, automation, reliability, and operational excellence of a business-critical Azure-based data and reporting platform. This role will be responsible for establishing a robust and highly available platform foundation, ensuring seamless collaboration between data engineering and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong Azure platform expertise with deep knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and enterprise operations. They will play a key role in building a scalable, secure, and resilient platform capable of supporting mission-critical reporting and external-facing data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive CI/CD implementation, release management, and deployment automation.
• Act as the technical liaison between engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Establish and manage monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks.
• Define and implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Ensure platform reliability, resilience, performance, and maintainability.
• Implement and promote operational best practices, governance standards, and security controls.
• Support platform scalability and availability requirements in SLA-driven environments.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous operational improvement.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and platform engineering decisions.

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure platform services and cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive hands on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and operational excellence practices.
• Proven experience designing and supporting highly available and resilient cloud platforms.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup and restore processes, and business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of security, governance, compliance, and platform engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale operational environments and SLA-driven service delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, infrastructure, and operations functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Azure Databricks environments.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and modern data platforms.
• Experience with cloud security frameworks and governance models.
• Azure certifications in administration, architecture, or DevOps.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise data and analytics programs.
