Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and build API and gateway layers that unify a fragmented service landscape. You will craft APIs, SDKs and client libraries, while establishing orchestration, identity, and secure multi-cloud integrations across Azure and GCP.

Strong focus on observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo and Grafana. The role emphasizes policy-driven access, contract testing, and a test-first CI/CD approach within a hybrid/Remote

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform or software engineering.
• Expert in Python with hands-on API/SDK development on distributed services.
• Proficient in FastAPI, REST/async design, API versioning and contract testing.
• Experience designing gateway architectures with orchestration and routing.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts including RBAC/ABAC and delegated flows.
• Hands-on Azure and GCP experience with private endpoints.
• CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Grafana.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities
