Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Narration Engineer to join our Narrative and Localization teams. You will craft tools, pipelines, and processes to handle hundreds of thousands of lines of dialogue and bring them to life in the game.

You will collaborate across Story, Localization, Quest, and Cinematics, write scalable code, and help build tools such as Screenplay Editor, Dialogue Player, and Voicesets, contributing to a major AAA RPG development pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the game industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive professional experience with Unreal Engine and/or other engines, and strong C++ programming skills.
• Ability to comprehend unfamiliar code and work across many systems in the code base.
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to communicate in English.
• A team player.
• An Agile mindset is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Story, Localization, Quest, and Cinematic teams to find solutions that achieve creative and technical goals.
• Write high-quality, code that is optimised, scalable, bug-free, and aligned with project goals.
• Build and maintain narrative content tools, systems and pipelines, including: Screenplay Editor and its connection to the Sequencer; Dialogue Player to present subtitles and play voiceovers; Voicesets for open world NPCs; Pipelines enabling synchronization of narrative content between engine and external tools.
