Job summary

Intuition Machines is hiring a Senior ML Ops Engineer to shape and expand data/ML pipelines powering our products and research. You will design, maintain, and optimize high‑performance data pipelines and ensure data is reliable and scalable for millions of users and internal stakeholders.

You’ll collaborate with ML, frontend, and backend teams to build out the data platform, reduce deployment time for dashboards and models, and establish best practices for building datasets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years designing and building data stores and pipelines with high loads.
• At least 2 years of professional software development outside data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Kafka; experience with distributed data systems.
• Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, ClickHouse preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure and CI/CD; Kubernetes and microservices design.
• Ability to make independent data processing decisions in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, extend, and improve data/ML workflows for high-velocity data.
• Provide interfaces to enable ML engineers and researchers to build datasets on demand.
• Influence data storage and processing strategies.
• Collaborate with ML, frontend, and backend teams to build the data platform.
• Reduce time-to-deployment for dashboards and ML models.
• Establish best practices and pipelines for dataset creation and usage.
• Work with large datasets under performance constraints similar to large companies.
• Iterate quickly to ship features deployed to millions of users.
