Senior Market Risk Analyst
Your responsibilities:
  • Analyse daily P&L and clearly attribute drivers (price/curve moves, volatility shifts, basis effects, new trades, reserves, model impacts).
  • Monitor, challenge, and enhance market risk metrics (Greeks, VaR, stress tests, scenarios) and ensure alignment with the firm’s risk appetite and methodology.
  • Identify emerging risks and early‑warning signals; recommend mitigation actions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Review and improve core risk processes (P&L explain, reserves, limit monitoring, exceptions).
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Operations, Mid Office, ETRM/Back Office, Quants, and Finance to resolve issues and improve data quality and transparency.
Our requirements:
  • Degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; CFA/FRM (or progress toward them) is an advantage.
  • Strong experience working in an ETRM environment.
  • Excellent Excel skills plus programming capability (e.g., Python, R).
  • 5–8 years of experience in market risk within energy, commodities, or financial services.
  • Strategic mindset: connects market risk insights to commercial decisions and prioritises high‑impact topics.
  • Strong ownership: drives P&L explain and remediation end‑to‑end, coordinating actions across teams and ensuring closure.
  • Continuous‑improvement orientation: identifies gaps, proposes pragmatic solutions, and leads standardisation/automation efforts.
  • Robust root‑cause analysis skills across data, models, systems, and processes.
  • High curiosity and problem‑solving ability; challenges assumptions and learns quickly.
  • Reliable execution: delivers on commitments, escalates proactively, and closes the loop.
  • Clear, concise communication of technical topics to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Resilient, calm under pressure, and uncompromising on integrity.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.
